We strictly follow the international guidelines laid down for regular ultrasound scans in pregnant mothers without any problem, as well as those with problems.

Our expertise involves checking the overall health of your baby to make sure your baby is growing well right from the first to the last month of your pregnancy, we perform early assessment of your baby for any birth defects, your chance of having a baby with major chromosomal/genetic problems, check whether are you at increased risk of having a premature birth or developing blood pressure related problems later in pregnancy and also the chance of your baby not gaining proper weight during the course pregnancy – all this is done as early as the 12 to 13+6 weeks scan/ NT scan.

Apart from performing ultrasound scans in normal pregnant women without any problem in the mother or the baby, we are well qualified in handling high risk pregnancies like twin/ triplet pregnancy, pregnant mother with Rh negative blood group, mothers with high blood sugar and high blood pressure problems, mothers with problem in previous babies and also who are at high risk of having a baby with major chromosomal abnormalities like Down’s syndrome or genetic problems like B Thallesmia and others.

Patients all over North Karnataka come to avail our services. The centre offers genetic services including genetic counselling for couples with previous baby or family members having a genetic problem. The problem in the previous baby or family member is thoroughly analysed to assess if the same problem can occur again and affect the present baby too. Prenatal invasive diagnostic test like chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis is then offered to assess if the baby in the womb indeed has the same genetic problem.

Our centre is the first in Hubli- Dharwad to perform advanced procedures like Chorionic Villus Sampling and Fetal Blood Sampling.

Fetal therapy including fetal blood transfusion for babies having less blood while in the womb, amniodrainage in case of excessively increased fluid around the baby is also among the services we offer.

There are future provisions for procedures like Fetoscopic Laser Photocoagulation Interstitial/ Radiofrequency laser ablation and Fetal shunt procedures as treatment in complicated twin pregnancies.
